Plush, Dorset: Music at Plush; 20th Anniversary of Concerts; Plush Festival; Alfred Brendel, Manor House; Tracy Chevalier, Brace of Pheasants
Information about the festival at Plush
"Every summer the idyllic village of Plush hosts concerts of classical, contemporary and jazz music directed by cellist Adrian Brendel.
Performances take place in the intimate venue of St. Johns, located in a beautiful valley near Dorchester. Now in its twentieth year, the festival returns with another world class programme featuring leading musicians and rising stars"
Dorset Echo (April 2013):
"The event, which was established in 1995, is organised by Kat Brendel and her brother, leading cellist Adrian Brendel. Kat said: 'This is a family-run festival and charity, supported by our community of members and volunteers. During the festival the musicians live and rehearse in the manor house, owned by our father Alfred Brendel'."
