UK: Healthy Life Expectancy, Regional Comparisons and Inequality



According to The Times (Rosemary Bennett, 6 March 2015) there is a gap of twenty years in terms of 'Healthy Life Expectancy' between the richest and poorest areas of Britain.

"The low end of the scale relates to boys in deprived areas, including parts of Glasgow, Manchester and Blackpool. The top end of the scale covers parts of Dorset, Surrey and the wealthiest parts of London."
