Walnuts and Tsipouro, Zagori

It's good to be here in October. We came from Hydra, Athens and Corfu.

Back to the simple mountain life.

Delighted to find walnuts from the tree, and local tsipouro in the fridge!

Thoughtful friends (and they were in competition with the squirrels).

Not to mention the crop of firikia apples and quinces- and Fantina's plum jam!

Firikia apples: "These apples have been cultivated in Pelion since the 18th century". Delicious, my favourite apple (top right, below).
