UK: Action Against Nuisance Telephone Calls; BT Call Protect Service; Junk Calls

From MailOnline - BT to crack down on nuisance calls: Firm launches new initiative that will divert 30million calls a week to a junk voicemail box

"Users will also be able to compile their own personal blacklist by adding individual unwanted numbers by dialling 1572 after receiving the call or by going online"

Here is the BT webpage on the service

"How do I add numbers to my personal blacklist?"

"BT Call Protect makes it very simple to divert nuisance calls. If you receive an nuisance call, hang up the phone, dial 1572 and follow the simple instructions to add it to your Personal blacklist.

You can manage your settings and personal blacklist at bt.com/btcallprotect where you log in using your BT ID, alternatively you can dial 1572 free from your home phone".

It seems you have to register for the service, which I have just done online, via my BT account:

"BT Call Protect gives you the ability to identify and prevent nuisance calls by sending them to a junk voicemail service. You can retrieve messages by dialling 1572 from your home phone".

Now working, I have created my personal junk call blacklist!
