Hillbilly Blues: Two witty songs from the early 1930s; proto-Rockabilly!



For fun! My simple guitar-strumming takes on two witty songs: "Long Tall Mama Blues" (from 1932) and "Deep Elem Blues" ("Deep Ellum Blues"), first recorded under another title in 1927; it became a popular song in the 1930's,

I made the video this morning. I tried to find some old photos I hadn't used before.

The two songs were recorded at Nikos Vrachliotis' Studio Echo in Potamos, Corfu, on May 17th, 2005, engineered by Andreas Monopolis.
