Robin Ironside (1912-1965), Artist and Writer
Robin Ironside was a painter and writer on art. He wrote an influential forty-page work, "Painting Since 1939", for The British Council (published 1947).

Variously described as a "Neo-Romantic Visionary", a "Romantic Expressionist" and as a "Surrealist", he was also known to be a user of hallucinogenic drugs such as Dr John Collis Browne's Chlorodyne
