Sherborne, Dorset: No Tesco (compare with Dorchester)

The other side of the story (The Independent)
How Tesco came to dominate (BBC)
Down here in Dorchester, we are extremely fortunate to have access to a large Tesco, two Waitrose stores, Marks and Spencer, Lidl, Sainsbury, Poundland, Iceland, Co-Operative Food, Budgens, the Wednesday market- and a thriving town centre with a wide range of shops.
Some close, new ones open. Overall, a good balance.
