Back home (after promenading up and down the seafront in the spirit of Sir George Somers, Jane Austen and John Fowles) to Last Night at the Proms on TV, and a brilliant and moving "The Lark Ascending" (Ralph Vaughan Williams) played by Nigel Kennedy and the BBC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Marin Alsop. Joyce DiDonato filled us with profound admiration in the first half. See Martin Kettle Guardian Review.
Rave on!
