The Edward Lear Bicentenary Exhibition and Catalogue, Corfu

I have finally seen the Corfu Edward Lear Bicentenary Exhibition, which is truly superb, as is the exhibition catalogue. Congratulations to all concerned.

Extraordinary works of art, some of which I am sure you will never have seen before, from Mandouki to Ioannina. Most of the works depict scenes from the Ionian Islands. It's worth a flight to Corfu, just for the Lear exhibition. Not to be missed. All the rest's a bonus.

The former palace is an oasis of calm and beauty in the week before elections.

Also well worth a visit, the Giallinas exhibition in the Old Fortress. Older posting here.

  1. Hi, I managed to find the Museum of Asian Art website, but it is Greek only! Is there a way to order the EL catalogue? Thanks Marco
