William Barnes (Dorset Poet) on the Spartans

The William Barnes Society lecture by Dr. Richard Bradbury sent me back to Barnes' book, Views of Labour and Gold (1859). As I have already written about for the Barnes Society about Greece (Part 1, and Part 2), this section seems particularly relevant.
