Stonehenge: Two large sarsen rocks were there ‘long before people arrived’
From The Times - "Mike Pitts has found evidence that two of the largest and most important sarsens had been there for millions of years before people arrived. Their coincidental alignment with the solstice sun, noticed by those who repopulated Britain after the last Ice Age, gave the site its significance".
