Dry Stone Walling, Dorset

Good to see dry stone walling repairs up near the South Dorset Ridgeway

and real pride in good workmanship, and appreciation of a fine wall, just outside Bincombe (in memory of its builder, Alan Doyle)

In need of attention:

In a Dorset churchyard:

John Vallins' Country Diary - Rock of ages, with fragments of shell and fossil -Stalbridge, Dorset: "This stone, locally known as forest marble and of the same make-up as Cotswold stone, is hard oolitic limestone".
