Hilary Buckley, Dorset Artist, Patterns of Maiden Castle

On Saturday I bought two of Hilary Buckley's cards with this Maiden Castle design,  which reminded me in some ways of the work of West Australian Aboriginal artist, Rover Thomas: the ochre fields, the overhead bird's-eye view, the 'song-lines' of  the ditches and banks of the ancient Maiden Castle earthwork ramparts.

The cards caught my eye at the Dorset Food and Arts Festival.

I'll be buying more, to send to friends in Australia.
