Greek Music in London: MooSooToo

I have just received this information by (unsolicited) email. They sound good on YouTube.

Events where the Greek band moosootoo or members of it are performing.

(There is also a mention and link about the Greek Reggae/Ska band Locomondo performing in London on Nov 28).

Fridays 8pm at Jakobs, Gloucester Rd.

Spiros, voice-bouzouki and Pavlos, voice-guitar, with guests.

The venue is situated at one of London’s best locations a few minutes from Hyde Park and the Royal Albert Hall.

The owners (French Armenian and Jewish Armenian) are in love with Greek culture and with our music.
There are two rooms. The one in the back is where the music will be and is partly connected to the one in the front.

They will be playing Rebetika, Laika and more in an acoustic mode. "Just make sure you book early if you want to sit near us".

Ran by Kalliopi from Serres the place is pretty small, clean with tasty Greek food –at Greek standards -, wines, tsipouro/raki etc.

For those who are after a 'koutouki' atmosphere, this could be the place on a relaxed Sunday afternoon.

GreekDance.co.uk and MooSooToo are coming together for a Greek Dinner & Dance Party!

This is a pre-ticket event and friends are advised to get in touch sooner rather than later so as to avoid disappointment.

Venue/address: Mia Lounge, 100 Avenue Road, Swiss Cottage, London, NW3 3HF – nearest tube: Swiss Cottage

It is a spacious venue with a dance floor and more than a hundred people capacity.

Music: MooSooToo – 6 band members playing a variety of music from all over Greece including Rebetika, Laika, Nisiotika and much more…

Organised by a Greek dance school the event is expected to host lots of dancers who will be driving the circles!
Food: A mixed meze of hot & cold dishes with a Middle Eastern flavour

Cost: £22 per person which includes live music and food (drinks are extra and need to be paid for when ordering)
