Henry Moore Sundial Sold for Scrap
I missed this news item in December, but the theft was discussed on Radio 4 this afternoon.
Richard Calvocoressi, Director of the Henry Moore Foundation said the sundial was insured for a quarter of a million pounds. The metal thieves sold it to scrap metal merchants for £45.
See my posting about the Henry Moore exhibition in Beijing (and a poem about a Moore sculpture).
