Shiloh Gospel Choir, Shiloh Baptist Church of Washington

Just back from a truly wonderful, joyful and inspiring concert of gospel music, celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Shiloh Gospel Choir. We received a warm welcome as visitors from Dorset, England and Corfu, Greece, and at the end we were invited to stand up to be greeted by the Pastor, the Reverend Dr. Wallace.

The tremendous choir, the talented soloists and musicians, and the expressive sign language interpreters, thrilled and visibly moved the congregation and audience. The spirit was with us all - an unforgettable two hours, with witty links and introductions by the MC, Jacquie Gales Webb. The song which really got to me was "(I Don't Want) No Trouble at the River" - but all the songs proved to be outstanding performances and interpretations of both traditional and contemporary compositions.

We admired the magnificent stained-glass windows.

Thank you, Shiloh! A blissful release from the Brexit blues. You restored our faith in humanity.

An uplifting experience strongly recommended for all members of the British Parliament, government and opposition parties - and for officials and representatives of the EU and EC. I'd love to see them all clapping and dancing in the aisles! They all need some joy in their hearts.

"In July 2008, the combined Senior and Gospel Choirs presented three stellar performances at Bloomsbury Baptist Church, Southwark Cathedral and Trinity Baptist Church in London, England".
