Of local interest:
"Dorchester’s existing Household Recycle Centre at the end of St George’s Road is likely to have to be replaced – possibly with a new one at Poundbury. A county council document says that if one large new site for Dorchester cannot be found the town may have to have two separate sites. The report concludes that the existing site, which is often plagued by long queues, needs to be brought up to modern standards which it says is: “unlikely to be achievable on the current site”. Other sites are being looked at including one at Poundbury. The idea has been floated before but was roundly condemned by residents on the Duchy estate".
