Gus Gadinis was born in Siatista, Macedonia, Greece, ca 1885-1890. Around 1915 he emigrated to the USA. He started recording in New York in about 1925.

I much enjoy this track, as well as "Karagouna" - Syrtos (c.1940), which I haven't been able to find on YouTube.
