Oxford, Professor of Poetry Elected

Simon Armitage has been elected (The Guardian)

A very fine poet. See also, Oxford Today

I admire the work of all of the top three candidates, and I would have been happy to vote for any of them.

"Armitage received 1,221 of the 3,340 votes cast, with Wole Soyinka in second place on 920 just ahead of AE Stallings on 918".

I particularly admire the poetry of A E Stallings, and I cast my vote for her, one of 918 who voted for her.
