I was wondering about these holes (about a dozen) dug in the ground beside the path from the Misios Bridge in the direction of Kokoras Bridge, Vikos Gorge. Could they have been made by the wild boar I could hear grunting in the area? I think not. It was obvious that someone had been digging up some of the wild orchids in the National Park. Whoever it was didn't even bother to replace the stones (first picture, top right) or the soil.

The Wild Orchid Robber, Vikos Gorge, Vikos-Aoos National Park, Epirus.
I was wondering about these holes (about a dozen) dug in the ground beside the path from the Misios Bridge in the direction of Kokoras Bridge, Vikos Gorge. Could they have been made by the wild boar I could hear grunting in the area? I think not. It was obvious that someone had been digging up some of the wild orchids in the National Park. Whoever it was didn't even bother to replace the stones (first picture, top right) or the soil.
