I can think of a few friends who might enjoy some of these free online courses:

I tried the Songwriting Course, but I'm too much of a bluesman, so I've just switched to the Guitar Course (Introductory- to unlearn some bad habits). The tutor is Thaddeus Hogarth.

There's always something new you can learn, from Philosophy to the History of Rock'n'Roll.
