See also Peter Snow's own "When Britain Burned the White House: The 1814 Invasion of Washington", John Murray.
Update: Peter Snow's talk about his book at the Bridport Literary Festival in November 2013 was highly entertaining. The maps of the armies' marches and routes, and of the battle formations, were particularly interesting; so were the character descriptions of the American and British officers involved.
