EU Ban on Refillable Olive Oil Bottles/Jugs
I find it hard to believe that this proposed EU ban will ever be implemented at restaurants or tavernas in Greece.
Bottles of olive-oil will in future have to be non re-fillable, to protect customers. No more cruets or jugs.
When will they start to ban local wine, hima (χύμα), and retsina from being served in carafes or metal jugs?
Or tsipouro in those refillable miniature bottles?
Update, The Telegraph
And no dipping bowls either
Apparently peanuts are dodgy too, unless served in sealed packets. Think of all those recycled peanuts, raked through and handled many times over by grubby fingers and unwashed hands...
