Another side of Burton Bradstock
Billy Bragg at Burton Bradstock: Blake's Jerusalem?
After returning from a walk along the same cliff path yesterday, I came across this old cutting from a double-page spread in The Sunday Times of August 14, 2005.
Cally Caw writes:
"England at its most conservative, this is not the sort of place you'd expect to find that scourge of the Tory party, singer-songwriter and political activist Billy Bragg."
The singer's house appears in the background. I still remember it as a bed and breakfast place.
Much better than Sandbanks, at any rate.
I can imagine Billy singing "Jerusalem" while walking on the cliffs above Burton Bradstock.
